Accessibility Statement

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across this website. That is a target we build and test against, not a certification, and we are not claiming full conformance. Some pages will meet it better than others, and we would rather say so than post a badge.

What we have done

• Structure that makes sense without sight. Real landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), one H1 per page and a heading order with no skipped levels, so screen reader users can move through a page by structure instead of guessing.
• Keyboard operation throughout. Every link, button, menu, accordion and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and a skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
• Visible focus. A high-contrast focus outline follows the keyboard so you can always see where you are, including on dark sections.
• Contrast and type. Text and interface colors are checked against the AA contrast thresholds, type is set in fluid sizes, and pages reflow when zoomed rather than pushing content off screen.
• Forms that explain themselves. Every field has a permanent visible label, errors are described in words next to the field rather than by color alone, and submission results are announced to assistive technology.
• Reduced motion respected. If your device is set to reduce motion, the entrance animations, the effects tied to scrolling, the reading-position bar and the smooth scrolling all turn off. Nothing on this site moves on a timer of its own, so there is never motion you cannot stop by simply not scrolling.
• Descriptive links and alt text. Links say where they go instead of “click here”, images carry alt text that describes what is actually in them, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
• Accordions that work without JavaScript. The FAQ sections use native disclosure elements, so the answers are present in the page even if scripts fail.

Where we know there are limits

Two parts of this site come from other companies and we do not control their markup or behavior:

• The customer review panel on our reviews page, served by Housecall Pro.
• The map on our contact page, served by Google. Our full address is written out in text next to it and in the footer of every page, so nothing depends on reading the map.

Manufacturer documents such as equipment manuals and specification sheets are produced by the manufacturer, and their accessibility is outside our control. If you need information from one of them, call us and we will read it to you or send it in another format.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site keeps you from finding what you need, we want to know — and in the meantime we will get you the information another way, by phone, email or in person.

It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using — but a plain description is enough. We will reply, tell you what we can fix and be honest about anything we cannot.

Ongoing work

Accessibility gets checked as part of building and updating pages rather than as an annual audit, using a mix of keyboard testing, screen reader spot checks and automated tooling. When we find something broken, it gets fixed with the next update to the page.
