Seth Wells started this company because homeowners kept collecting three separate quotes for one problem. We size the system, do the electrical work, pull the permit, set the pad, commission it and service it afterwards.
Why we exist
One plan instead of three quotes
Losing power out here isn’t an inconvenience you wait out with a candle. In August it’s the air conditioning and the well pump. In February it’s the heat and the pipes. On an acreage it’s the septic pump, the gate opener and a freezer with half a steer in it.
Most people who call us have already been quoted three times. A solar company talked about production. A generator dealer talked about kilowatts. An electrician priced one panel. Every quote was defensible on its own and none of them added up to a plan for keeping the property running.
That gap is the reason this company exists. We run the load calculation first, size the equipment to what your property actually starts and runs, then handle the installation, the permit, the pad and the commissioning as one job. Afterwards we are the ones who come back for scheduled maintenance, which tends to change how carefully a system gets built in the first place.
The founder
Seth Wells
North Texas energy professional. Solar since 2015, home energy since 2009. Lives in Santo with his family.
Seth has been working on how homes and businesses use energy since 2009, and specifically in solar since 2015. That started at kitchen tables and on commercial roofs, going through utility bills line by line and working out what a property really consumed against what it was being sold.
He went on to build and lead a Texas solar company that served residential and commercial customers across multiple markets. That work took him into municipalities that had never permitted a solar array before and into electric cooperatives that were standing up their own solar programs, which meant learning the code, the interconnection paperwork and the utility side of the business rather than just the sales side.
Along the way he designed, sold and oversaw solar, roofing, HVAC and electrical projects, and the same problem kept surfacing on every one of them. Customers were being sold equipment, not a plan.
Armored Power Systems was built to close that gap: standby generation, battery storage, solar, load management and the electrical infrastructure underneath all of it, designed together and supported by the same company afterwards. Seth and his family live in Santo, the business is still locally owned, and his email address is printed on this page rather than hidden behind a contact form.
Factory training
Seth holds current installation and service certification from both manufacturers we install — Generac University and Kohler/Rehlko — covering air-cooled standby, the current controller generation, PWRcell 2 battery storage and warranty administration.

Backup power is one of the few purchases where the quality of the work stays invisible until the worst possible moment. These are the parts that decide whether it starts.
Designed under Master Electrician oversight
Every system is planned and installed under Texas Master Electrician supervision, under electrical contractor license TECL #41587. The load calculation comes before the equipment recommendation, not after it.
Permitted, inspected, coordinated
We pull the municipal permits and handle the utility coordination ourselves. Generator placement is set to meet local clearance requirements before anything is poured, not adjusted after an inspector flags it.
Built so it can be serviced
A level pad, a labeled panel, clean conduit runs and room to open the enclosure. Five years from now somebody has to change the oil and pull a spark plug in that space. Usually that somebody is us.

We are a service-area business, based at 14145 US-281, Santo, TX 76472 and working outward across Parker, Palo Pinto and Erath counties and the western Fort Worth region. Santo sits close to the I-20 and US-281 junction, which is why the territory looks the way it does — Weatherford, Aledo, Willow Park, Brock, Millsap, Springtown, Mineral Wells and Stephenville are all a practical drive for a crew and a service truck.

Who owns Armored Power Systems?
Seth Wells founded the company and it is still family-owned and locally owned. Seth and his family live in Santo, Texas, which is also where the business is based. It is a local company rather than a branch of a national brand, so the person who quotes the job answers for it afterwards.
Are you licensed to do electrical work in Texas?
Yes. Armored Power Systems holds Texas electrical contractor license TECL #41587, and systems are designed and installed under Master Electrician oversight. Generator work is electrical work: the transfer switch ties directly into your service, so it belongs with a licensed electrical contractor.
Do you only install Generac?
We install Generac and Kohler home standby systems, and we are a Generac Authorized Sales and Service Dealer, dealer #1033043. For service and maintenance the list is wider, because plenty of homes in this area already have a unit from another brand sitting on a pad.
Will you work on a generator another company installed?
Yes, and a good share of our service work is exactly that. Contractors leave the area or stop taking calls, and the homeowner is left with a machine nobody maintains. We start with a full diagnostic on the existing unit so you know its real condition before you commit to anything ongoing.
Do you do commercial work or only homes?
Both. Shops, ranches, churches, clinics and small facilities all lose money or spoil product when the power drops. Commercial projects get a separate site and electrical assessment because the service voltage, motor loads and runtime requirements are different from a house.
Do you handle solar and battery storage as well as generators?
Yes. Seth came into this business through solar, and we design solar, battery storage and standby generation as parts of one power plan rather than three unrelated purchases. Some properties need all three, many need one, and we will tell you which.
How far do you travel?
We work across Parker, Palo Pinto and Erath counties and the western side of Fort Worth. Santo sits near the I-20 and US-281 junction, which puts most of that territory within a reasonable drive for both installation crews and service calls.
